Reverie, and Island Packet 350, will depart the Duncan Bay Boat Club in Cheboyan, Michigan about May 20. We intended to spend the next three months aboard cruising the North Channel and Georgian Bay. This will be the 16th year we have spent some time in these waters which are both part of Lake Huron.
Jim and Bobbie will be doing lots of kayaking and dinghy exploring in search of wildlife and wild blueberries. We saw a record six black bears last summer and will be checking on two eagles nests. We also plan to take the car and leave it at Little Current on Manitoulin Island so that we can do some exploring of the interior of Ontario.
New on the boat this year will be dinghy davits and a Manson anchor. I will also be doing a great deal of experimenting with the Apple iPad. I will attempt to keep my log book on it using a combination of text and pictures.
We will attend the Great Lake Cruising Clubs wilderness rally and some of the annual rendezvous which will be held at Mackinaw City.
