Hull Issue? was created by George1632
I recently had a survey done where the surveyor found a 1' x 7'  (7 square feet)area that was "questionable" with the percussion hammer. The area was port side under the storage bins behind the settee very close or under where the counter weights are for the generator.

Im having a hard time believing that this area is delaminating as there is no outside sign whatsoever. Has anyone else had issues with soundings in this area?

I too have rarely ever seen an IP fail this tap tap tap survey hammer gig. I would say that the sound was different because of the generator weights. Can you push in on the hull there? Is it soft there? Does it flex in that area????
What model IP?

Thanks for the response Hayden. It's not soft there nor can you push it in. It's a 38' 1991 model. I'm going to have it re-hauled and checked out but I just wondered if there was a simple answer like the weights.
