Hello:

I am new to this site. I am currently downsizing from a Cape Dory 36 and I believe I wish to buy an Island Packet. Consequently, I am doing research on a few of the models.

Question: Does anyone know if the lead ballast of Island Packet 27s & 29s is encapsulated in concrete or resin?

The IP27 brochure says it's encapsulated though doesn't say with what.
