companionway hatch jam on an ip45 was created by Paige, Too
appears that the track is preventing the hatch from opening . accessing the track by removing the traveler and then the sea hood seems to be the only way to
solve this but is a bit much while in transit

any suggestions for a temporary fix? thanks, pete

Get inside and push up from below when sliding the hatch lid. Pushing up should lift it over the broken area.
Note. I have taken the traveler off and this hood cover. The traveler screws are large and you will need an impact driver to back them out. I used a hammer and a large screwdriver. The job took sat and sun. Getting the spray hood off takes a sharp putty knife driven under the edge to cut the 5200 used to seal it. It does come off.
