IP Fleet:
I am excited to share with you this new project I have been working on
with Chuck and Lynn Evans, former owners of IP380 CYAN. Chuck and Lynn
circumnavigated in 2004-2013 on their IP 380. Radeen and I met them in
2004 in Rock Hall when they were installing their wind vane. They told
us they were going around the world. We said...no way! They did.
Well, Lynn manged to teach herself HTML and back in the day, she coded
her web site by hand and was publishing this from all remote locations
over the world. Eventually I advised her to move to Google Blogger
like many of us had, and she did. She also managed a YouTube channel
and that too is live. Google does not erase sites.
When they returned to USA they were heading to Tampa. FL from the
Caribbean, and I diverted then to enter USA in Marathon at Harbour Cay
Club. We had a big party there and celebrated for days with them, and
heard their stories. They then sailed to Whiteaker and sold the boat.
They had accomplished their dream
Later, Lynn told me she would drop the web site, I offered to archive
it and save it for her. She eventually deleted it off the web and it
was gone. I was upset.
So on the way south this year, I asked her if she had a copy of the
web site. SHE DID on DVD. I asked her is she would send it to
Charleston, and I would re-publish it now that I bought a new larger
server for IPYOA and IPphotos integration project I am working on.
She sent he DVD, we agreed on a new domain name, and this AM I worked
on that project first thing and IT IS BACK LIVE ON THE WEB forever.

REMEMBER, this was all hand coded in NOTEPAD and HTML and managed with
FTP by hand from remote world locations! It is not a modern web site,
but the photos, and the many years of stores are a great read. Radeen
and I read it all as it was happening.
