Krylon Fusion Paint for Boot Stripe

We just re-painted our boot stripe after three-four years of good use from our last Krylon Fusion Spray paint job. Today, I sanded the boot with 320 grit, (400-600 could be better) then I wiped it with denatured alcohol or you can use lacquer thinner. Then I taped it off and sprayed it with a $5.99 can of spray paint.

Krylon Fusion spay paint can be bought at Ace, or Home Dept, many places, there are many colors, I selected the closest blue to our boot stripe. One can will spray two coats on an IP 35. It is not perfect, but if I sprayed 3 coats, I bet it would be near perfect. My goal is to just cover up the nicks and scratches that the yacht receives from all our miles up and down the east coast.
