Hello:
I am considering the purchase of an IP40 that has a helm seat that does not seem to have an gasket around where it sits on the base. Is this normal?
The reason I ask is because all the wood down inside the pedestal had totally deteriorated due to being chronically wet. The surveyor will determine if there is more damage below.
Just wondering what is the best way to deal with the issue?
