The teak and holly floor is plywood and it is about 1/4" thick total. The surface you see is a thin veneer of maybe 1/16" so there is not much to sand. If sanding you can easily sand right through this top layer. I sanded our 1994 IP35 floor and I would never do it again because of the dust and the fact that the veneer is so thin. Others have used citrus strip wood stripper found at Ace or Home Depot.
