The area south of the Rickenbacker Causeway Bridge is a DREAM area with anchorages, marinas, mooring fields and plenty of sailing. Again, with East winds you can easily go for a day sail north and south in the protected waters of Biscayne Bay. When you want to drop the hook, you have several places to select from Virginia Cay to Marine Stadium to Elliot Key. Then when the wind picks up with a frontal system, you can move to a mooring ball or dock at Crandon Park State Marina or Dinner Cay Marina or Coconut Grove Sailing Club. Biscayne Bay sailing, cruising and exploring is a dream location.
Here is a picture of the location.
