Solar Install on 1995 IP 37 was created by Marko Markovich
I will begin my solar install on my 1995 Island Packet 37 in about 2 weeks or so. I will do a full write up on the whole install from start to finish. I hope this will help anyone else interested in doing the same in the future.

As of now i am contemplating between Kato marine Davits or a Arch System to mount the panels on.
So far I have received:

2 300 Watt Solar World Mono panels.
Tristar MPPT 60Amp Charge Controller
Magnum MS2812 Inverter/Charger
Bogart Engineering TM-2030RV-F Trimetric Battery Monitor.
4 trojan T-105 6V Batteries, hoping to fit 6 or even 8 total over the summer.

Marko:

You are off to a good start, you will love having solar, especially if you go south. Many IP owners have installed their solar panels on top pf the bimini frame. To do this, you need to simply add a few down struts and two bows on top. The advantage to this is that you can still take down the canvas because there are no holes in the canvas and the solar is installed over and above all. It is also far cheaper than an arch. I would not place the solar on the davits as they flex and move a lot when sailing off shore. Here is a photo and a link to an album of our install.
