Flexible solar panels? was created by jfhotard
I am considering adding solar panels our IP380 and want to know if anyone has installed flexible solar panels. If you have, how have they worked?

Joesph,

I added three flexible solar panels to my IP-37 this spring. Two were 50 watt panels and one was a 100 watt panel. All of them are sewn into the bimini. The two smaller ones are located on either side of the mainsail viewing window and the larger one located between the split backstays. The cables all run down the starb back stay then thru the cap rail. They are hardly noticeable to others. I have only cruised once this year and it was so hot that we went into marinas every other night so I didn't get a good feeling on how much they cut my charging requirements. From what I observed they will just about cover my reefer draw. Will try and take some pictures and post them in the next couple of days.
