On our IP35, with Harken SS Furling Drums, the black and white flecked staysail furling line is 3/8" and the blue and white flecked jib furling line is 1/2" Both the jib and the staysail length, when the sails are furled will run the entire length back to the boat, which on thje IP35 is 32 feet one way for the staysail and 36 for the jib, I have a 135% jib. So I take all this as this:
Staysail 3/8" x 62' Black and White Flecked
Jib 1/2" x 72' Blue and White Flecked
This should be the same diameter for the IP 40 except longer.
