Target price for dodger and Bimini. was created by Emergpa1
Hello. I would like to find out what an average price would be for a dodger and Bimini on a small island packet 31. It includes isinglass and snap on covers for the isinglass. No poles, I have the polls. Just a replacement of the canvas. We have a quote for $2000 plus tax but I have been told by a friend that is high.

We just had our dodger, bimini, and piece connecting the two replaced - we used the same frame so no cost associated with that. Also have removable window covers. We are in Olympia, WA so location may make a difference. We got three quotes from local Puget Sound dedicated marine canvas companies which ranged from $3,000 to $6,000. There was quite a difference in the 'quality' of the work between the high and low but the 'quality' was a matter of beefing up the canvas works so they could withstand around-the-world cruising - really nice work but way more than we needed. We settled on the low quote and are very, very pleased with the results. Attached are two pictures - one showing the new canvas close up, the other showing an overall view with the center section rolled into the middle of the boat - neither picture has the window coverings on.

I had a new dodger, Bimini and awning as well as all the stainless tubing support structure made for my Island packet 27 last year. The cost for all the structure and the canvas was right around $5000. So to me the $2000 for just the canvas sounds about right if not reasonable.
