John K kindly solved the query with the MPS (last week's topic). As mentioned, the spinnaker would come in a later forum topic. So, here we are!!
We have an aluminium telescopic pole - mast end is on an endless line, with the mast end hauled up the mast, to allow the outer end to rest / hang at the base of the mast (well, just above the deck).
There is only one topping lift - it seems that it is connected to the aft end of the staysail jib boom. According to the previous owner, that's what you use.
But, what happens to the jib boom, as I imagine it would fall to the deck (and would be in the way / may create some marks).
Is the kite set up with two sheets on each side?
Does the downhaul go from the pole end, over the guard rail, to a block on the tang just under the forestay fitting, then back to the cockpit?
And .... what about gybing with the spinnaker, especially short handed..... It seems to me, snuff the kite, dip the pole, gybe the main, then reset on the new tack.... Is that reasonable?
