Perhaps you've found a solution by now; I used amalgamating mast boot ( like this product ) tape a few years ago and it has held up fine.

The best way to seal around the mast deck joint is with MAST BOOT TAPE, 4"
defender.com/en_us/c-s-johnson-rubbaweld-mast-boot-tape-50-405

Also first caulk the entire joint with BOAST LIFE CAULK.

This will last for many years.
