Greetings All, we have a 1997 IP 350 #3 “Gypsy” and want to install a Forespar line controlled whisker pole, which when not in use is stored vertically on the mast. The IP 350 has a Hoyt Boom for the staysail and I am interested in how others have mounted a similar pole on the mast. Does the Hoyt Boom affect deployment; do you mount the pole higher so that the base of the whisker pole is above the the end of the Hoyt Boom, or does one move the boom over to the opposite side of the boat…where the pole is deployed, realizing of course, that the staysail is not used when the pole is out.
