Main Sheet Traveler IP 27 was created by RNM
Does anyone know the Ronstan details for the optional 4 part traveler system for the I.P. 27. I'd like to convert my manual system to one that can be easily controlled from the cockpit.

Many thanks,
Bob MacKinnon

I'm attaching photos of the traveler on my IP27-146 "Turtleheart." She's covered and the running rigging and sheets are off (so you can't see the traveler lines or main sheet) but you can see all the hardware. Note that the sheets exit the bottom sheaves through the cam cleats at an angle that is not fair to the coachtop winches -- it feeds on a downward angle instead of an upward angle -- and this makes overrides very easy. (Sorry, no photos of this until I relaunch in the Spring.) Also, it's not always easy to free a loaded sheet from the cam cleat -- a firm upward jerk is required, and this may not be possible if the sheets run through slots in the dodger -- you may have to reach around and grab the sheet from outside the dodger. The simple solution is to luff the main when adjusting the traveler. You'll have to experiment and see what works best for you.
