Variable speed freshwater pump was created by Leterip
I have a IP350 and want to change out the current Jabsco pump and accumulator tank with a Variable speed multi chamber pump. Anyone done this? What is the current system PSI rating? Can it handle 60PSI?

We installed a PAR MAX 3.0

50 PSI our old pump was 40 PSI and this seems to not a problem.

I'd be interested to hear more about what you're doing. Would you provide some info on the pump? Last Fall I replaced our Jabsco pump. While doing a repair I found that some parts were on a 6 month back-order so I just replaced the entire pump with a different make. The Jabsco was quieter than the replacement but it was also $200 more to replace, if it was even available. My new pump runs between 20 - 40 psi and I think a higher pressure range would be better. If you could tell me more about what you're planning I'd appreciate the info.

There is one in our 38 and it worked great. Then I decided to put in a filter at the galley cold water tap and it really struggles there.

I ended up putting a Jabsco 5.o Variable Speed pump in. It works great after I figured out what the real problem was. The fresh water pickup tube on the tank was completely clogged at the elbo connection on the top of the tank. The bottom of the tank also had a bunch of rice size white deposits apparently caused by a reaction between the chlorine and aluminim tank. I used a shop vac to get that cleaned out . The pump will run all the fixtures at once and you cant even hear it run unless you expose it in the compartment. A also replaced all the 1/2 inch fittings to 3/4 from the tank to the pump. The original installation although pretty provided a couple of weird 90 degree turns that had the hose cinked in two places. Im very happy with the outcome. The pump cost about $200 and it took me about 2 hours to complete the job

That is a very common issue on IPs, the water pick up tube TOP at the 90 degree bend where it enters the water hose. If you are not filtering out the chlorine during water tank fill, then the take does get these alum chloride crystals which plug up the pick up tubes and the pump and the screens. Check out these photos of when I cleaned out my pump due to these particles...
