    Dear All,

I've just become the owner of a IP40 , model year 1994.

Over the last winter all 3 tanks were replaced and the redundant cabin air-conditioning system was removed.

We are currently struggling to get the fridge working, there is no raw water flow to the unit. The pipe is connected to a seacock in the bilge area but there is no water flow at the compressor. I think during the refit and work the raw water fridge pump may have been inadvertently removed.

Can anyone with knowledge please let me know where the pump should be located and how is it electrically supplied.

Thanks in advance.

The unit is a Copeland system RSN4 0050 IAA 958

Replied by SV Hiwa on topic IP44 fresh water tank replacement.
Hi Graham, I’m looking at a 1991 IP44 and I’m aware that the freshwater tank has a leak issue. Forward heads has been converted to a composting and the aft to a direct overboard with an additional thu hull added, so no BW tank anymore. Note that you have been down this track on a similar year boat and wanted to ask the process involved. Any help much appreciated. Based in NZ so really need to provide some guidance to the boatbuilder. Cheers G
