I’m a new owner of a 1988 IP31. Previous owner used the boat as a day sailer and sometimes camper. The reefer has not worked in years. Box was insulated and used as a built in cooler. I’m underwhelmed by the idea of spending $1000 - $2000 for a cold plate solution like the 30 year old one it would replace. I saw that Isotherm makes the BI-53, built-in top-loading, refrigerator/freezer. Has anyone installed this unit on their vessel? Any suggestions or feedback is appreciated.
