I’ve read many threads about low water output at the galley or head sinks, caused by occlusion of the aerators. Over time, crystals which form in the potable water collect at the top of the aerator, which are easily cleared, but additional occlusion occurs within the body of the aerator as hard mineral deposits line the fabric and slowly choke the passages.
Today I had great success restoring Andromeda’s aerators to like new performance. It was easy. I removed all 3 of her aerators, placed them, together with their retainers, in the bottom of a small glass and poured in a small quantity of Barnacle Buster. The Barnacle Buster quickly dissolved all of the mineral deposits without harm to any component.
