2002 IP350 Yanmar 3JH3

Hi,

I am considering changing the impeller on my IP350 2002 (new to me). The engine has about 1000hrs showing and I am wondering if the impeller is original equipment. Engine running OK no overheat etc. but I would rather do this in friendly conditions rather than have issues while out on the water. It seems that it would fail progressively over time rather than catastophically? Is this a difficult process? any advice on making the change easier?
