Thanks to our great IPY mechanic in Rock Hall MD, Don Bergen he pointed me to this resource in Europe that makes the best motor mounts. I placed an order yesterday and they shipped FedEx today. I plan to replace my motor mounts because I am doing refit work on Island Spirit this summer in prep to sail back to the Caribbean in Nov/Dec. My mounts are from 2013, they are not totally shot, but it is something I can do along with the other engine work I have planned. Here is a link: www.ellebogen.com/us/ PS: On the IP35, with the 3JH2e 38 hp engine it is recommended to use150 lbs on port and 100 lbs on starboard. You do know that the torque is all on the port side of the motor mounts, right? This company sells a 100-150 set. They know. PSS: How to see if your mounts are bad, slide a piece of 1/8" to 1/4" cardboard under the bracket, the part that you see in this picture that is well off the bottom part. As the rubber gets old the mounts drop and then the top metal hits the bottom metal. That makes a loud noise when shutting down the engine as it shakes.
