IP 35 Fuel tank sender/ sensor was created by aguy
Hi - can anyone tell me what the fuel sender/sensor uses for a float in the IP-35 or similar model. My 35 dates from 1990 #084 and I've just had to replace the old cork float lever arm system in the water tank.

Thanks, Andrew

Andrew:
WEMA USA now KUS company makes tank fluid level gauges. I replaced mine with one of these on our IP35. They simply screw right down to the same holes. See this site:

Hayden, thanks for such a quick reply. It’s good to hear that your replacement sender screws down into the same/original holes. I’m based in the UK but it looks as if I can get a similar fitting from Wema-UK, though as European and American senders have totally different resistances the gauge may need to be changed to suit.

Do you recall whether the original fitting had a cork float on a lever arm like I found in the water tank?

Yes, the original tank level gauge used a geared arm with a cork. As it raised up and down it turned a gear at an elbow that then sent a signal. Very odd design.

The new ones are far better.
