Online Yanmar Diesel Parts Catalogs

Too bad they don't have a pdf file with the information but then they couldn't sell you the catalog for $29.95. Love my Yanmar but hate that they overcharge for all replacement parts unless can find out who supplies some of their items. My starter was $600 + from them but found that it was a Hitachi and found the identical starter from a non-Yanmar dealer for $150. Yanmar strongly enforces their dealer areas alsoso an item not in stock can't be ordered from some other dealer that has it.
Think I'll spend rest of day copies each page of my catalog for use in future when internet connect is not possible. Pain but worth it to cruise to exotic and not so exotic areas.

Bsenay, also you might be interested to know that John Deere, the tractor people, use a lot of Yanmar engines and have Deere branded parts designed for our engines. Oil filters is one example that comes to mind. My local Deere dealer has a source for all of my Yanmar parts - as long as I can give them the part number. Admittedly it's slower service, but I try to support my local farmers when I can.
