I just bought a new wheel for my IP26. After many hours of banging, torching, prying and whatnot, I finally got the old one off. The mounting hole is 1" and the new wheel fits on that fine, however, the "key" piece on the post that actually grabs the wheel when it turns, is too big for the new wheel. Its about a 2" long x 1/4 in x 1/4 in square piece of metal that I pulled out. Any idea what this piece is actually called and/or where I can find a new one? Ive been to West Marine, Home Depot, and the marina in hopes to find a smaller one or at least something I can use to replace it. Sailing to Nantucket this week and I need to find something fast!
