IP 380 Companionway Sliding Hatch - How do I remove?

PO installed a 12VDC outlet for a windshield wiper (Pacific Northwest) and GPS antenna just off to the side of the companionway hatch inside the dodger. I want to replace the antenna. Do I need to remove the large fiberglass cover that extends forward of the dodger (that the hatch slides into) in order to remove the hatch? Can someone please provide a simple step by step?

I will replace the cracked teflon slider strips while I'm at it.

Thanks.

That wiring may have been pushed between the deck and the inside hull liner. As doe the slides, you do not have to remove the hatch to replace these slides. Just push the hatch all the way open, go below, look up and mark the space behind the where the hatch stops, inside. Now slide the hatch forward and use a saw and cut the slide where you marked it, Now remove old and insert new ones.

Thanks Hayden. I may not have done a very good job of describing my challenge. I know how to replace the "slides" and that is on my punch list. I need to access a GPS antenna cable that enters the space between the sliding hatch and the inside of the companion way. The antenna is mounted just forward of the port side clutches. I'll take some pictures this wknd when I'm at the boat - better than a bunch of words. I see you are a significant contributor to this forum - thank you for that.
