Years ago before Kato sold and created the expensive stabilizing bar, he taught us to use a single bar and then two criss crossed wired cables. This is what I have donw since 1996 when he taught me that. Then he did away with this and created the double cross bar which in m,y opinion does not work as well as a single bar with wire cables.
Of course I have a detailed photo essay on exactly how this works. The single bar has one job and that is to hold the davit tips apart. The criss crossed wired cables with a turnbuckle make it all solid. WORKS GREAT. If I were setting up davits again, I would do exzctly like this.
