I think I have seen a reference to someone making a pedestal swap out on a 38...is there a post on this?

Yes, I removed the old school ip helm and installed the Edson CD-I helm. I have posted many photos on this. To find all, please use the Google photo search link under the photos chapter. Enter cd-I into search and you will find much.

Here is the Edson CD-I helm I removed after sailing it 12,000 nm. I sent it back to Edson for evaluation and review. They wanted to see how the helm was holding up, plus, I was having some scoring from the shifter.

Edson fixed it all and sent it back. This is the perfect replacement for the old ips.
