Windvane ideas on IP460 with swim platform

I am thinking about windvane installation on the IP460 with a swim platform.
I have read the post about IP380 CYAN and their circumnavigation with a Hydrovane. Tom and Cheri on La Vida Dulce have written about using the Monitor.
Do any other owners have windvane thoughts or comments? I am particularly interested in installations through the swim platforms. A center line installation would obscure the stern pulpit entry but Will Curry from Hydrovane assures me the unit works fine installed off center. I believe him, but I like aesthetic balance. Attached is a picture of a Hydrovane on an Estero with a platform. This would work, and the steps are elegant.
I'd welcome any ideas.

I had the Capehorn steering gear installed in the fall on Sapphire my 370. It allows off center installation as well as the ability to be positioned high above a Bimini etc. I met Yves Gélinas who created the vane through his film that I helped restore and was blown away (no pun intended) by the simplicity and elegance of the design. Proven on too many boats to mention including Joshua for a awhile before it was commissioned into a museum.
