I am in the process of improving (I hope) my stern anchor handling. Currently there is zippo, nada, nothing.
So to remedy that I lashed a 25lb fortress fluke anchor to the stern rail. Then, i partitioned the rear-most portion of the starboard cockpit locker. I did that by gluing in wooden (are they called cleats?) blocks of wood to the inner hull and stern, and used these to be able to build my bulkheads to create a stern anchor locker there. Then i plan to put a stern roller and hawsepipe in the stern rail/cockpit settee respectively.
Has anyone set up a ground tackle system for the rear of there IP31? Any insight would be appreciated!. Thanks
