I am kind of a slow learner and but I thought I would share a power saving tip that I imagine everyone else knows. My 40 IP has a nice bulb in the water gauge. Great so I can tell how much water is in the tank at night. Well............this cute little bulb uses about 625ma so over the day the gauge uses15 amp hours (.625 x 24 = 15 ). The gauge no longer has a light or a socket. The bulbectomy saves enough power for the Admiral to run her hair dryer for 7 minutes. ( (1500/12) * ( 7/60)) = 15.6 Amp Hrs. Duh

WOW! That is a great find. I will check if our IP35-165, 1994 has that. I don't think we have it. This is one example Bob Johnson would have learned if he had every lived about or if he had ever cruised on these great boats he designed. But he never lived on one. He should have.
