I am considering the purchase of a Island Packet catamaran,1993 packet cat 35. Does anyone have any comments or suggestions about these boats?

We owned an IP PC 35 for 14 years. Bought her new in 1995, sold in 2009. Spent our first years on the Chesapeake then in 2000 left for about a 9 year cruise with many stops and layovers in between. We love the Packet Cat, very easy to live aboard and enjoy the surroundings. She sails OK, doesn't point real well, but is not timid when the wind picks up. The twin Yanmars makes motoring and docking an ease. Let us know the PCs you are looking at, we may know them from our travels. Bonnie and David former owners The Brac Cat

Thank you. Your response is very helpfull. Knowing your overall impression of the boat after that much experience is reassuring.
I had been wondering about the large bulb on the bow, since no other builder has picked up that design.

The delta pod serves two purposes. First, as additional bouncy when you get into the rough weather and secondly adds substantial protected storage and a large foredeck area. I guess that's three reasons. Look up The Brac Cat on Hayden's site, we published our sailing logs and photos from the first two years out. Happy New Years.
