Phillip:
The factory is focused on building and delivering its new yachts. Add in covid issues and supply chain issues, and they do not have the time or manpower to service our IPYOA fleet of owners. That, as you can see, could be a full-time job of many, and the factory can not commit to this service. They do a fairly good job at helping when they can, but right now, it is boat show crunch time and if it is not related to that, forget it.
So, a ladder replacement for an IP38 25-30 years old, is not their focus.
That is WHY we have the IPYOA and all of us together can help each other. So, you are best to do this:
#1. Ask for help in the Facebook IPYOA group, that is most responsive and easiest.
#2. Ask for help in here in this forum, I monitor this as well and others do too.
#3. Ask for help via the Ancestry site
island-packet-ancestry.com/ where Bill Bolin will help
#4. Ask for help in the IPhomeport forum where former IP owners and wannabees chime in with help.
DO not lean on the factory for support, they are totally and rightfully focused on their new designs. We should all be glad they are building and surviving these tough times.
