Space above cabinets in galley was created by painkiller380
So, I am interested in how others are efficiently utilizing the space above the cabinets in the galley. I am talking about the small space between the upper cabinets and the ceiling top on the outboard side of the galley that is about 6" tall and runs the length of the cabinets. I believe most IP's have this sort of space. It doesn't seem tall enough to be very useful space and I am curious how others have utilized this space. What do you store here? It seems like most anything stored here would shift around considerably while sailing.

How do you use this space?

Rosemary:
We sail IP35-165 and we store:
1. Coffee Mugs
2. Hot pads
3. Stove lighters
4. Zip Lock Bag boxes
5. Aluminum Foil box
6. Tea bag boxes
7. A few extra spices

That is about it for our galley area in that space. It is an odd space.

Lynn and I screwed a four eye screws in, each pair in parallel about 12 inches by six inches to the underside of the molded head liner over the shelves, and then put shock cord thru them. Then we slid our serving spoons, spatulas, long lighters to light the stove, etc. O/w we did what hayden did. The light things don't slide around. the cups are in the back corner and don't slide too much.
Please tell me your boat is not called painkiller! too funny
I practice emergency medicine and devising ruses getting me to prescribe "painkillers" are a few of my patients' favorite pastimes.
