Just returned from the St. Pete Boat Show and spent a lot of time at the IP display. A 439 was the only IP displayed. This was my first time seeing a completed IP since Darrel and Leslie took over. All I can say is 'WOW'. There were several other sailboat manufacturers displaying their latest models including Catalina, Beneteau, Jeanneau, and Dufour. We looked at them all and the IP stood out like a Rolex along side a bunch of Timex watches. The fit, finish, and features on the IP were comparable to the finest built yachts anywhere, including Shannon, Morris and other super high-end custom yachts. Darrel and Leslie have taken IP to a new level. What amazed me most was that the IP prices were not really that much more than the production boats considering what you get for your money. IMO they represent a great value for those who appreciate owning the very best. (I'm not affiliated in any way with IP). If I were 10 years younger, I would buy a new 349 in a minute. As it is I am in the process of a complete refit of my 1994 35 and will keep it until I can no longer sail.
