Cutter Loose (IP 460) will be headed south on the ICW in October. The reported vertical clearance of the Wilkerson Bridge (aka Walter B. Jones Bridge) at statute mile 125.9 is 64'. Our mast height is 62' above DWL. Our masthead VHF antenna adds approximately two feet to the height of the mast.
We are seeking feedback from owners of the larger Packets with similar mast heights in terms of their success or failure in clearing this bridge. For example, what is the tidal range in the Alligator River - Pungo River Canal at Wilkerson Bridge? If there is tidal fluctuation in the Canal, where can we find tide tables? Any suggestions or useful insights would be appreciated.
