2016 IP Calendar released

Today, I am happy to announce that I finally created the 13th Island Packet Yachts calendar! This project I have created to help offset the fees associated with building, managing and upgrading this large active web site. Each calendar sold includes a $5.00 profit that helps to pay for the servers, software upgrades, and programming support I pay for on a yearly bases. I usually sell around 80 calendars and that generates $400 towards these associated costs.

Today, I was reminded of the crazy Cafe Press issue of needing to select January as your IPYOA calendar start month. If you have received your calendar and if your calendar starts on December, then simply call Cafe Press and tell them the calendar was made wrong and that it was to start on January, and they will send you another one, free of charge.

I have tried for years to get Cafe Press to STOP OFFERING this select a start month option but they say people like it. I find it really a problem. Their idea is that the current month will be the first month of the printed calendar, BUT, you can select another month if you like. This idea allows people to buy a calendar in June and have 12 months forward. That is why they offer this select a month. But when you are buying calendars in December and they start in December, that is a bad idea.

I tried to alert every one to this issue when I posted the announcement here:

So, if you have our new 2016 calendar and if your started on December, then please call them and ask them to ship you a new one. I called and they have no way of knowing how many they made with December as the start month. So far we have sold 40 calendars. Thank you all.

PS:
I designed and made the calendar to start on Jan 2016, selecting a different start month also moves the images off their designed months! Another frustrating issue.

Update on the 2016 calendar sales......we have sold 50 calendar and that is not bad for the first month, my goal is to sell 100, so I am half way there. Remember, the $5,00 proceeds goes towards the $4,000 expenses I have already paid to combine the IPphotos 11,500 into the 5,000 IPYOA photos. Thank you to all who have bought a calendar.
