Call for Photos, 2014 Calendar

I will begin now to work on the 2014 IPYOA Calendar. This will be the 11th year I have built these. Please look through your great sailing photos, select your best ones, and upload your photo albums to the photo app here: ipyoa.com/photos.

I am most interested in Island Packets under sail, or at anchor in a beautiful cove or with a sunset sunrise.

If I think your photo will work into the calendar, then I will message you and ask you to send my the high resolution image for building your page. I need to select 12-14 photos, and being known as "Photo Boy" I have about 4,000 sailing photos that I have taken last year in the Bahamas! But I need variety and I could use your help.

Thank you again for sharing the JOY of OWNERSHIP. These IPs are a true joy to own and sail.

Hello Hayden

Check out my avatar photo. It's one of several I took on our cruise to the Faroe Islands last summer. The exact location is Eilean Mor, a small island in the Sound of Jura, Western Isles of Scotland. Boat is my IPSP Cruiser 'Catryn'.

Bonavista Bay, Newfoundland,, Canada
That island is a resettled community , once home to 300 people, -they were modern Vikings really, Although the community was quite prosperous, they moved away from the isolated island in the late 1950's so they could enjoy modernc convienences - like running water indoor plumbing, electric lighting, close proximity to health care, telephones and TV.
Its still a fantastic natural Harbour, and Hurricane Hole, its very sheltered but watch out for granite rocks at the entrance...
We met some former residents who were there for the summer season, and we had a wonderful time there. They loved our Island Packet, and recognized her immediately- they last saw her 5 years ago with the PO, and remarked what a solid, seaworthy boat she is!
