Cruise must-haves? was created by a Guest
I've booked myself a cruise to the Bahamas( www.blountsmallshipadventures.com/where-...ands/?view=itinerary ) in the new year for 12 days starting from January 24th. Haven't planned anything as of yet. This is my first time in a cruise and hence do not have a clear idea on what all to carry. Can someone break it down for me? A list of must-haves would be ideal. Thanks. :)

Watson:

That cruises looks great, you will get into the Exumas and to some very nice places. The #1 item to take will be your snorkel mask and snorkel tube. You can use their fins. Take a good Columbia Store sun hat with a brim and string so it will not blow off. We use the Columbia SPF 50 hats. Take sun screen, lip sun screen and sun tan lotion because you will get burnt even in the shade with reflection off the water. Take water shoes, crocs work well. Take a Columbia sun screen long sleeve shirt, two or three. One that you swim in and it is wet, one or two that will be dry. You will live in a swimming suit and t-shirts. Take a tablet with Navionics app loaded and preload your charts so you can follow long where you are where you going. If you have an unlockled quad band phone, then buy a BTC Bahamas Sim Card BEFORE you go, 1 to 2 weeks before you go, buy this from www.MrSimCard.com this will give you a Bahamas cell number for about $10 then add 1-2 GB of data for about $30-$40. Then before you go, you alert Mr Sim Card via text and he will activate your sim card so, that when you arrive in the Bahamas you reboot your phone and POOF...you are on the grid and no worries and no need to pay the fees for WiFi onboard or go to a cell phone shop. This makes it really great to get connected BEFORE you get to the Bahamas.

These are items we take and prepare for our trips in.
