No centerboard on IP-38 was created by raceboat61-S

We are considering an upgrade to an IP-38 but one that we are considering is MISSING the centerboard ! Don't know the story but it has me wondering how this will affect this boat's upwind sailing performance? Does the centerboard model IP-38 (1988) have a different hull profile than the non-centerboard model? How might this affect sailing on other points of sail? Mike

The good news is that it is easy install a new one and the factor can make you one.

Thanks for the response but for other reasons our offer on the boat was rejected. 6 months later it still sits For Sale in Palmetto, FL.
