SF to NZ was created by nscott54
We departed San Francisco on April 9th on Galatea (IP420-79). We reached Atuona in the Marquesas on May 1st after a good run. My boat partner, Dan Foust, and his family are taking Galatea from the Marquesas through the Tuamotos to Tahiti. My family and I then take her through the Societies down to Raratonga in the Cook Islands by the beginning of August. Thereafter, Dan, Teague, my son, and I will take Galatea through Tonga and Fiji and then on down to New Zealand by mid November. We will have completed leg 1 of a multi-year round the world expedition.

Neil,
If you are moving on to Australia and Sydney in particular, then please contact me as I have some useful local knowledge and would be delighted to share with you.
I also have a private marina berth on Sydney Harbour, just a few minutes sail from the iconic Harbour Bridge and Opera House and you would be most welcome to use it. Additionally, there is a wonderful waterway way beloved of our sailors just a little north of the Harbour,, called Pittwater,
which we sailors prefer. It is larger than Sydney Harbour and is surrounded by national parks and is truly beautiful to explore.. And again, I have a private mooring there which you are most welcome to use, although it is easy to pick up casual moorings at no cost for everything but the busiest weekends.
This offer applies to all IP owners when visiting these waters. Just let me know, so that I cam make arrangements.
Best wishes,
Lee Laurie
