Netherlands, Ijsselmeer, cruising the Wadden Sea and Dutch Islands, and NE to Norderney, maybe up to German Islands - Heligoland, Borkum - basically Riddle of the Sands hopefully without the grounding on sand bits. Maybe attend the IP rally in Netherlands. If weather permits may head down coast to Zeebrugge, Boulogne then back up to NL for winter. First though we have to get the mast up after a winter in a Dutch barn...

Someday, we hope to get to your area of the world. Your plans sound very interesting.

Great to hear, that there is another Island Packet around northern Europe. We sail an IP 27 (Carpe Diem) on the Baltic Sea, located in Rostock (www.yhd.de).

Maybe you´ll get a bit further into the Baltic Sea and drop by. The islands of Denmark and the german island Rügen is also really nice.

Check out our Blog: www.sailingcarpediem.blogspot.com

Have a nice trip!

Norway.
We are planning to sail the entire coast of Norway and then set off to the northernmost part and sail further to Svalbard.
Svalbard is an archipelago in the Arctic (independent in a way, but under Norwegian jurisdiction). The North part of which is around 80 degrees North, only about 600 nM from the Northpole. But that's as close as you can get if you're not an icebreaker ;)
The Norwegian coast is gorgeous. Think Maine and Alaska rolled into one. Beautiful coastline, deep fjords (both depth and length), high mountains, glaciers.

We have Touche overwintering just South of Bergen and will start from there may 1. Can't wait.
