This is a well Cared for Island Packet located in Sunny Mazatlan. Recently hauled out April 25/2022 sanded and new bottom paint, Cutlass, and Propeller. All exterior wood sanded and SEMCO added. Also new Canvus on the Dodger, Bimini and motor cover.
The Island Packet 38 is a Cutter Rigged Full Keel Yacht.The interior is offers teak bulkheads and trim, teak & holly sole, a very large owners cabin forward with a double berth and private head. The aft quarter cabin also has a double berth and private head. Galley is located on the starboard side aft with ample storage.The main salon offers settees that convert into berths and a nice drop leaf table. The Island Packet 38 has many opening ports for great ventilation below.
It is US documented and has a TIP to be in Mexico.

Arrangements Topside:
Beginning at the bow is a double anchor at the end of an FRP anchor platform with bobstay and jib furler. Continuing aft is the horizontal windlass on the anchor platform at the bow followed by a staysail stay with self-tacking boom. A welded stainless steel bow pulpit surrounds the anchor platform and extends aft of the anchor windlass. The cabin top rises from deck level and contains hatches, Dorades, handholds, staysail sheet track and mainsail traveler. Continuing aft is a dodger over the companionway at the cockpit. There is a binnacle with instruments,
compass and drop-leaf table. The wheel is mounted on a shaft running aft to a gearbox where the rudder connection is made with rack and pinion steering. A bimini covers the cockpit. The welded stainless steel stern pulpit is split with a fold-down boarding ladder and has mounting brackets for outboard (including lift), Lifesling, and other equipment. Davits for the tender extend aft of the transom.
Arrangements Below:
The below-deck anchor locker is located in the forward head. The head contains WC, sink, and shower. Continuing aft is the forward stateroom with double Pullman berth offset to starboard and storage and lockers to port. Continuing aft is the main salon with settees, drop-down dinette table, and navigation station. Aft and to starboard is the galley with stove/oven, sinks, top-loading refrigerator/freezer, and storage. To port is the guest head with WC, sink/vanity, and shower is accessible from either the main cabin or the quarter berth stateroom. Engine access is located below the companionway stairs and through a panel in the quarter berth.

The interior of the Island Packet 38 features a unique tri-cabin layout with large forward and aft staterooms and a spacious central salon. Beginning forward is an ANCHOR LOCKER in the bow accessed through the forward head.
The FORWARD HEAD compartment has a sink with vanity, bulkhead mounted shower with large teak seat, wrap-around curtain, storage cabinets, "His & Hers" medicine cabinets, large mirror, marine toilet, two opening ports and an opening hatch.
Next aft is the spacious MASTER STATEROOM with large pullman- style double berth offset to starboard, three spacious storage compartments under the berth along with six cedar lined drawers, large cedar-lined hanging locker and cabinets to port. This stateroom is well ventilated with four opening ports and an overhead hatch. It also has a dedicated MarineAir 9,000 Btu air conditioner.
Next aft is the inviting MAIN SALON which spans the beam of the yacht imparting a spacious feeling while also allowing for generous storage spaces. Island Packet's signature bulkhead mounted fold-up dining table retracts to allow for an unobstructed socializing area. When the table is lowered, a built-in liquor cabinet and glass storage rack is revealed. The table folds open athwart ship for additional dining area if needed. To starboard is an L-shaped settee that converts to a double berth. There is also a slide-out chart storage drawer under the starboard settee. To port is a straight settee. There are cabinets and bookracks outboard and an incredible amount of storage beneath and behind both settees.
Just forward of the galley on the starboard side is the aft facing NAVIGATION STATION with full size, hinged nav table with storage compartment underneath. Adjacent are the ship's AC & DC electrical panels and electronics.
Across from the nav station is the centrally located AFT HEAD with sink, vanity, shower with wrap-around curtain, full length mirror and marine toilet. The shower is bulkhead mounted and has a removable teak seat. This head has a private entrance from the aft cabin as well as the main salon.
To starboard of the companionway is the large U-shaped GALLEY with deep double sinks, gimballed 2-burner LPG stove with oven, refrigerator/freezer, deluxe teak dish racks and cutlery drawers. There are abundant storage compartments, a hideaway trash bin, and plenty of counter space.
To port of the companionway is the entrance to the spacious AFT STATEROOM with queen size double berth, dressing seat, bureau with three compartments and cedar-lined hanging locker. There are multiple storage compartments under the berth. There are two opening ports and an opening hatch.
