Typically the third Saturday of June each year, this is one of the greatest events on the Chesapeake Bay! You can sail you boat and anchor right off the Strand to watch the festivities, or dock at one of this wonderful little town's marinas and walk the shore. It's a charity event (Special Olympics) and a town tradition. Building inventive or amusing boats -- and having fun -- is far more important than completing the course, and watching many of the boats capsize, sink, or dissolve is a large part of the fun.
