It’s time to register for the 2013 Puget Packeteers’ Rendezvous as we cruise to beautiful PORT TOWNSEND for the Puget Packeteers’ 10th Anniversary!
A dinner catered by In Season Catering on Saturday evening will complete the day of fun, information, sharing and socializing. Saturday morning we will have Brian Toss Yacht Riggers of Port Townsend speaking to us about rigging and the tuning of rigging for your vessels. That afternoon, Ms. Leslie Shumann will be speaking to us about first aid and safety aboard boats.
Registration & Payment: To participate in this year’s event, complete and return the Registration Form below, with your payment, by May 31st. We’re having T-shirts made this year by Shirley Giesbrecht who needs to have size information no later than June 1st.
The cost for Saturday’s festivities is $75/person for dinner, all speakers – including the first aid & safety aboard presentation, and t-shirts. The annual membership is $20/boat, making the total cost of this year’s event for 2 people $170. The price for each child age 12 and under for dinner and a t-shirt is $30. Checks should be made out & mailed to: Pat Meikle, 4654 234th Avenue SE, Sammamish, WA 98075.
We have reserved a sufficient number of slips, but slips will be assigned on a first come basis as registration and fees are received. Joe Guizzetti will be in charge of assigning slips and will notify you of your slip assignment. The marina requires that we finalize slip assignments by July 1st, 2013, after which they release slips and you must then contact the marina directly. You will pay moorage directly to Point Hudson upon your arrival. We will have reserved Friday and Saturday nights, August 23rd and 24th, in your name, but should you plan to arrive on an earlier date or leave later than Sunday the 25th, you will need to call the Marina and make your own arrangements. The Marina’s number is 360-385-2828.
Benefits of Membership: If you can’t attend, please continue your support of the Puget Packeteers by renewing your $20 membership. Membership entitles you to a significant Fisheries Supply discount and covers the cost of facility rental, website, and administrative costs for the Packeteers’ events.
Also, if you can’t attend the rendezvous this year, we would ask that you complete the “Puget Packeteers Database Information Update” form separately attached and return to Pat Meikle. This will allow us to keep our database current and keep you informed of Puget Packeteers’ events and happenings.
Lodging: If you’re not bringing your vessel, the Port Townsend website at www.Port Townsendchamber.com has a variety of B&B’s, hotel and motel recommendations.
Most Important: This event is all about YOU. Your participation encourages vendors to continue supporting our Rendezvous and creates opportunities to meet people who share a passion for Island Packet Yachts and a cruising lifestyle. We hope to see you August 23rd – 25th!
