Yanmar Oil Filter VS Fram Oil Filter

After much debate on the IPDG email list I am also convinced that using a "will fit" off the shelf FRAM oil filter is not a good idea for my 3JH2E 38HP Yanmar engine. Yes this will fit, but for a $7.00 savings, it is not worth it. Here are some photos of the two filters. Yanmar # 119305-35151 VS FRAM PH6607. The FRAM interior threads are very rough and so is the machining. The Yanmar is very smooth and seems of higher quality.
