The Mackinac Race

2010 Chicago-Mackinac Race, oldest (102 years) and longest (330+ miles) sanctioned freshwater race in the world. Crewed on a 36' Mariner (similar to IP in weight, hull design) with 8 men (boat is designed to sleep 5 in discomfort), so pretty cozy. Race took 3 days, we placed third in the Slow Banana Boat Division (Cruising 2). Great Lakes sailing is different: Very fast wx changes, winds clocking from everywhere. Lotta fun.
