Tangier & Smith are the last remaining watermen community islands left in the bay, Tangier the larger and more interesting, Smith farther along in the dissolving process, highest elevation at Tangier being 4'. New museum on Tangier offers free kayaks -- some with all their parts -- which we used for a day-long paddle to the Port Isobel (CBF island) and the Uppards (abandoned island on the north end). Tangier has THE best beach in the ChesBay!
