After having our holding tank corrode and leak we decided to go with a Natures Head. This is our second year and we're very happy. No head, holding tank, hose smell. There will be an occasional peat moss odor. We dump the fecal matter once a year. I can't say how often we would need to dump if we were live aboard. I can tell you the wife's nose is much happier now. The unit is bigger than the original Raritan. I did remove the glass shelf to lower the new head. However I really did not gain much more room. The unit does require a small fan with the associated exhaust hose to run constantly to dry the fecal matter.
